Dad: Give me your phone for a minute Betty

Mum: Why?

Dad: I just want to try something

It should be noted that neither mum or dad have been able to get their phones to ‘ring’ for the last few days.

Rather than offer to help – I decided to enjoy the silence

Dad: (after tweaking mum’s phone) Here you go

Mum: What did you do?

Dad: Check it out.

He dials mum’s number and her phone starts ringing 

Mum: How did you do that?

Dad’s all smug with his head up his arse and proud of himself now

Dad: I found the button that mutes the volume. You try ringing me now..

Mum: OK

Dad: I’ve given you a special ring tone so that I always know when it’s you calling me

Mum: It better not be a dog barking or something

Mum calls Dad – and what do you know? It’s the sound of a dog barking

Mum: I can’t believe you did that. You DID make me a dog on your phone

Dad: That’s not a dog barking. It’s a goldfish!

Mum: Oh – well that’s alright then

 

Oh Betty, Betty, Betty….
